The 13 Wishes Ritual- Manifest Magic with Me!
A December Tradition to Transform Your Year!
Happy Friday the 13th, My Beautiful Friends!
We made it through another week alive— Thank the Gods!! How are you doing? Are you hanging in there??
I know the chaotic energy has been INTENSE, so I've been really looking forward to our second Friday the 13th of the year!
Even though this day has been associated with all the UNLUCKY things, I absolutely love Friday the 13th! This beautifully Divine Feminine-powered day is infused with magic and carries amplified energy for love, beauty, and abundance. It’s literally THE PERFECT day to tap into your FULL Divine Feminine energy and wield that magic to beautify your reality 🖤✨
Here’s why today is a Goddess Vibe kind of day:
Friday is Freya’s Day in Norse mythology, a day dedicated to love, fertility, empowerment and beauty.
Friday is ruled by Venus in astrology—the planet of love, money, and beauty. 💕💸💄
13 is a sacred number of good fortune, personal growth, and alignment with your highest self.
Put it all together, and Friday the 13th is a supercharged day to manifest your desires, especially those related to love, money, and beauty!
Normally, I would use this day to truly step away from masculinely muscling through the day and step into full feminine flow and focus. Put on my favorite makeup, adorn myself with feminine accessories that make me feel like a goddess, go get a Friday the 13th tattoo, and beautify myself and my home. Buy fresh flowers, adorn my goddess altars with new offerings, and feel that freedom that comes with being in true divine feminine flow letting my intuition lead me to wherever I need to be. It’s such a delicious and cozy energy to embody!
However, in honor of this magical day occurring in December, I wanted to share a beautiful ritual I’ll be doing this month called:
🎁 The 13 Wishes Ritual 🎁
A Bit of Backstory: Rauhnächte
The 13 Wishes ritual has roots in the ancient Germanic and Celtic tradition of Rauhnächte (the "Twelve Nights of Christmas"). This sacred time between Christmas (Dec 25) and Epiphany (Jan 6) is considered a magical period when the veil between worlds is thin— making it a great time to tuck your wishes into the folds of The Universe!
Traditionally, Rauhnächte is:
A time for reflection: Letting go of the old year and setting intentions for the new.
A time for cleansing: Smudging the home, paying off debts, and clearing energy.
A time for manifestation: Writing down wishes and releasing them into the universe.
A time for rebirth: Symbolizing the return of light and the start of a new cycle.
A time of suspended natural laws: When connections to the ethereal are heightened.
This tradition involves writing down 13 wishes— 12 wishes that The Universe will manifest for you and 1 wish that you bring to life yourself. It’s so fun and also a great way to co-create with The Universe as well as set your intentions for the new year, which let’s be honest: at the state the world is in right now, we could use a little fun to focus our intentions to what we want moving forward — in the world AND in our personal lives!
🙏 How to Do the 13 Wishes Ritual 🙏
Here are the materials you’ll need:
1 piece of 8.5 x 11 paper
1 pen
13 pieces of smaller pieces of paper all the same size (I use post it notes to make it easier. You can also take a piece of paper and cut it into 13 equal sized pieces.)
1 lighter or a box of matches
1 jar / bowl to put your 13 wishes in
1 fire safe dish / bowl
Optional: 1 white candle
Optional: 1 clear quartz crystal
The process is pretty simple:
Write Down Your Wishes:
Write out 13 wishes you want to manifest in the next year on one sheet of paper to keep as a log.
Prepare Your Wishes:
Cut 13 small pieces of paper (or use Post-it notes).
Write one of your wishes on one piece of small paper.
Fold it up (and fold it towards you— see tips below) and place it in a jar or bowl.
Repeat for each wish. You should have 13 pieces of paper folded up, each with one wish on it.
Burn Your Wishes:
Starting at midnight on December 25th, close your eyes and randomly pull one folded up wish from your jar/bowl. ‼️DO NOT READ IT‼️ This is a wish that The Universe is going to make come true for you!
Instead, affirm/command: Thank You, Universe for making this wish come true for me!
Then safely burn one folded wish without opening it. You can affirm while burning: This or something better now manifests for me with ease!
Repeat this for 11 more days. Burn 1 wish per day WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE WISH YOU WROTE DOWN. Give it to The Universe to take care of. Give thanks to The Universe for taking care of it for you. January 5th should be the last day to burn a wish!
The Final Wish:
On the 13th day (Jan 6), you’ll have one wish left. OPEN THIS WISH and read it—this is your wish to bring to life in the new year!
Instead of burning this wish, place this wish on your vision board or goals sheet so you can focus on attracting it into your life.
Keep track of your wishes and celebrate as they come true, especially your 13th wish, which you’ll actively manifest!
